Review on 💧 Pentek RFC20 BB Carbon Filter Cartridge: Premium Solution for Efficient Filtration by Brad Ward

I have been using this filter both at home and at work for at least 6 years. At home I change once a year and at work every 3 months because I have a big fish farming project and we often change the municipal water tanks. Fish don't tolerate chlorine and it worked. I changed the cartridge (in the fish project system) when the chlorine levels increased or the water flow decreased (volume was verified by running a 6 gallon bucket test and determining the fill rate). I replaced the cartridge 3 days ago and my bucket test was 56 seconds (within my normal range). Then my water flow slowed down by 70%! I thought my hose (a very expensive premium hose) had disconnected internally because I couldn't think of any other reason, so I pumped it up from the greenhouse and replaced it, but the flow didn't change. I won't go into the details of the two days of BS I went through before finally pulling the cartridge out to return to normal flow. I put another filter housing in to make ends meet, but I order the Big Blue housing because I can't risk another bad cartridge. I've tried many dozens of these Pentek filters with great success, but I don't have time to risk another lemon, how do I return a wet filter? For the sake of others, I hope they find their quality control issues.
