The RFC20-BB filter has collapsed.

Changed the filter yesterday and after about 30 minutes the family asked why the water in the toilet had turned black. I put the filter system in the bypass and washed the water lines and the water was clear. Opened up the filter housing with the RFC20-BB and the filter fell apart inside the housing releasing the carbon which ended up in our plumbing. Disappointed as the first filter worked great for me. A lot of money was spent on a filter that failed within the first hour. I can't find how to

Whole Home Filtration System

I have just completed the installation of a complete whole home water filtration system. I have only used Pentek filters and housings. I'm very happy with the performance of my system and how well everything went together. Here's a breakdown of all the components I used in my system. I've spent a lot of time researching what works and found that getting familiar with each Pentek filter and their features wasn't easy. The aim was to reduce the amount of sludge, iron deposits from old iron pipesโ€ฆ

have a lemon in water filtration and softening system

I have been using this filter both at home and at work for at least 6 years. At home I change once a year and at work every 3 months because I have a big fish farming project and we often change the municipal water tanks. Fish don't tolerate chlorine and it worked. I changed the cartridge (in the fish project system) when the chlorine levels increased or the water flow decreased (volume was verified by running a 6 gallon bucket test and determining the fill rate). I replaced the cartridge 3โ€ฆ
