I'm a retired Marine trying to get the best bang for the buck so I've decided to use an antenna and video streaming rather than Direct TV or a satellite provider to use that offers you over 100 channels that have nothing to watch except 1 or 2 of them. Also, they want to charge you money to get something really good and they go out when the weather is bad anyway! The good thing about being retired is that I'm now back home in Northeast Texas, but more than 100 miles from a TV station. Shreveport is a little over 100 miles away so I needed something that could pick up long range signals. I spoke to my neighbor who had a Lava HD-2605 and asked her how she was doing and she said she really liked it. I went, looked and bought through Revain. My antenna arrived in a reasonable time and was packaged very well. As I said, I'm a retired Marine and not easy to please. However, I was generally happy with what I got for what I paid for. I get almost 20 channels but 12 are doing really well so I'll just say I have 12 but I don't pay a monthly TV bill! There was 1 problem with the antenna remote control and it doesn't work. You put the battery in and it stays on like you're pressing a button, but you don't really need it. I did the whole installation myself and it's really not that bad. Just make sure you get the antenna high so it's out of the way of trees or other obstacles and it should work fine. Hope that helps!
