Very good antenna in TV antennas

Here is my story. I've been with Directv for 8 years and am fed up with the high monthly bills and when I got error code 775 I called support and they said it was a $49 maintenance fee. Damn, I rent this crap from them and they don't fix it? So I deleted my account and bought a Channel Master DVR+ CM7500TB1 and a Lava HD 2605 antenna. I live 50 miles north of San Francisco, out of town in Sonoma County. My reception is 50 miles and it's great. I get 45 channels very clearly (HD quality). Let's…

Plastic deteriorates after 5 years, but reception is excellent.

Good:*Reception up to 110km.*Comes with universal rotary/signal booster.*Lightweight and easy to assemble.*Average cost $15/year for 5 years. vs. $100+ per month for cable TV. Cable costs continue to rise. I've typically saved about $6,000 over 5 years. * Paired with a ROKU box so I could stream other content when nothing good was on the air. Bad: * Bought five years ago. After that, the plastic became brittle and sun-damaged. The rotator no longer works. * There is no way to determine the…

Buy this antenna: Accessories and consumables

The best purchase I have ever made. NO MORE CABLE BILLS! I bought this antenna because my neighbor has one and he recommended it and had good talks about it and he was right. Crystal clear picture, I receive over 40 channels and have had very bad weather after installing this antenna, the picture remains crystal clear throughout. I really wish it would show you the direction of the antenna when using the rotor, although I've found I don't need to change it once I set it up for better reception.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Still works after two years!

I bought one of these in 2017 and have used it occasionally ever since. Turning on and off about 3 times a day, always around the same time, not very good for the price. So now I use this antenna and my WiFi to provide TV, internet and phone service. I noticed that I received more channels with my new Smart TV. I use the Revain Fire Stick to launch a hotspot on my phone and access their services. I can also mirror my phone's screen directly to my TV (Samsung) so I can watch YouTube, Pluto TV…

LONG RANGE LAVA ANTENNA

I'm a retired Marine trying to get the best bang for the buck so I've decided to use an antenna and video streaming rather than Direct TV or a satellite provider to use that offers you over 100 channels that have nothing to watch except 1 or 2 of them. Also, they want to charge you money to get something really good and they go out when the weather is bad anyway! The good thing about being retired is that I'm now back home in Northeast Texas, but more than 100 miles from a TV station…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

  • No power

FITS MY PURPOSE.

I live in a rural area where there is no cable and I don't want to deal with any contracts. I placed my antenna on a 3/4 inch piece of pipe at fifteen feet and began picking up crystal clear signals. I receive all channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, PBS, as well as sub-channels (Example: 6.1 is CBS. 6.2 is THISTV, shows old movies) the number of channels received depends on the atmospheric conditions, but I receive constantly receive fourteen If everything is fine I receive up to 24 channels. The…
