I am very happy with the color of these glue sticks when used on projects that require black glue . It's not too shiny, holds up well and warms up well. My problem with them is that I've found them to go through the glue gun at such a high rate that I use at least 3 times as many sticks on average compared to other glue sticks. This reduces the likelihood of future purchases as I don't want to switch sticks every few minutes when working on large projects. If you only need them for short runs and color is most important, I'd happily give them 5 stars. .If you need black glue stick for big projects and don't want to change sticks every few minutes, look elsewhere. For that reason I would give it 1 star. That's why they get an average of 3 stars for me.
