Review on Enhanced Brewing Experience: Keurig K-Supreme Plus Coffee Maker with MultiStream Technology, Removable 78 Oz Reservoir, and Programmable Settings by Charles Dean

Revainrating 5 out of 5

By far my favorite manufacturer is K-Cup.

I've had it for about four weeks. So far I have cooked about 100 pods. This is by far my favorite Keurig K-Cup coffee maker. I have had five capsule brewers so far and my last was the K-mini plus. First, I like multithreading. It closes five openings at the top of the capsule, allowing five streams of incoming water to seep through. This is similar to the idea behind Nespresso capsules, where the machine creates multiple small windows for water to flow through. Second, I like to adjust the temperature of the water. I always set it to the hottest of the three. It's hotter than my K-mini, but I wish it was even warmer. You can also adjust the strength to three different levels, although I can't easily tell how big the difference in flavor is. Third, it has a silent pump. It's quite nice not to hear the jackhammer sound we're used to from small one-cup brewers. Next, the machine has three presets. This makes a world of difference when you need to set the strength, temperature and volume for each brew. This makes a lot of sense, especially since making a pod is all about keeping things super simple. The next factor is the build quality. It's pretty sleek and solid. This "C" shaped metal rod that opens and closes the capsule area is made of a hard, smooth machined heavy metal, steel I believe. It looks very premium, as does the entire pod placement area. reservoir of reasonable size and square shape; It can be placed with the handle forwards, backwards or to the side as you wish. I haven't made cold drinks, but all the teas and coffees I've made came out fine. There are a few weak points: your sink/faucet must have enough space for a removable water tank. Sometimes, um, I don't wash the dishes right away and it's difficult to get the tank under the faucet in a half-full sink. K-cups are the limiting factor. You won't get truly gourmet cups from this machine, but it did a better job of making cups than any other K-Cup machine I've had. The highest temperature is still not super hot. That's a problem for those who like hot drinks or like a lot of cream with their tea and coffee. It's big and takes up significantly more space than the K-mini. It's also asymmetrical, with the fixed tank offset to the left and slightly behind the main body. You could make it more compact.
