The build looked like it should have gone well, and up to a point it was successful. Until I put a 12v plug into the outlet to test it and ripped the entire backrest off the outlet, dropping exposed metal into the seatback where I installed it. Then I use all my strength to unplug the knife connector from the USB connector. I ended up having to cut the wires, remove both plugs, find a replacement for the 12v adapter, and then reroute the wires and reassemble. This wouldn't be so difficult were it not for the arrangement under the seat of a pontoon boat with the outward folding seat. If I didn't have another 12v plug I would wait for a spare. If so, I would not buy this set again.
