My new motorhome didn't have a USB or 12V plug. This works great and is easy to install. I first attached the faceplate, drilled holes for the connectors with a hole saw, installed the included spade lugs, and I was done.

My old boat's 12 volt plug is cracked and worn out. It was an ultra-lightweight replacement. I didn't use a mount, I just replaced the old plug with the new 2 USB plugs and that's it! I unplugged the old connector and used my existing network connection - the whole process took less than 10 minutes.

Perfect for my camper. The camper didn't have a cigarette lighter plug so I got one so I could plug in a small inverter to run the TV and my record player (not at the same time). I did not use the USB plug as my camper had multiple Ian sockets. Instead I put a voltmeter in its place to get a more accurate reading than the 4 lights that tell me the battery status. After drilling the holes and installing it appears to be factory installed.

I am very dissatisfied with it. They come with cables that connect two different outputs (USB and 12V) in parallel. I've had two rejections in less than a week. In both cases, the socket simply died. I used a multimeter to make sure there was power on the wires feeding the outlets and checked the connection between the wires. I wanted to add both a USB and DC plug to my van. It was the perfect union. Easy to install, straight ahead. The only thing that surprised me was the blue LED. I'm not sure why this would be added and what purpose it would serve other than to make it pretty. I know it's just a small LED, but it's a vampire on an RV battery. I installed this socket on the back of my truck near the tailgate. I drilled two holes with a 1-1/4" hole saw. The sockets fit perfectly. Wiring was easy. Battery positive terminal with built in 10 amp fuse and 14 gauge wire connected to a pigtail coming out of the both positive poles The USB ports are illuminated with a blue LED I was pleased to see the connection wiring, 4 mounting screws , and connectors in the box Appears to be of good quality.

The build looked like it should have gone well, and up to a point it was successful. Until I put a 12v plug into the outlet to test it and ripped the entire backrest off the outlet, dropping exposed metal into the seatback where I installed it. Then I use all my strength to unplug the knife connector from the USB connector.
