A very strange lens. I can’t single out obvious minuses - there’s nothing to complain about - it photographs what is called “without a hitch, without a hitch”, which is fully justified by its price. But there is one BUT, for the sake of which I decided to leave a review for those thinking to buy it. That's when you shoot with lenses of this class - the result is clearly and very different from the "soap dishes". For example, I have a 70-200 / 2.8L, and even a "simple" lens 50 / 1.4 - both give a very beautiful "picture". You can be a useless photographer, but the pictures will be such that it will be obvious to any person - they were taken with a professional camera. Very beautiful! So 16-35 / 2.8 just shoots "what is". No embarrassment! As if on a soap dish - just the image is very clear throughout the frame + blurring the background due to the large aperture. "Picture" is the most common. No magic of an expensive camera happened when buying this lens. Although, I only have a modest 40D, on the wretched crop of which it is probably difficult to open the entire width of the lens. And - yes, I'm definitely one of those who want to press a button and get a Masterpiece =))
