Review on ๐Ÿ” OBDResource OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth 4.0: Professional Automotive Diagnostic Scan Tool for iOS & Android | Car Code Reader for Check Engine Light | Supports Torque & FasLink App by Arunprasath Corso

Revainrating 5 out of 5

everything worked fine 3

I was skeptical that such a cheap device could work but I was reluctant to pay up to $100 or more for a full featured OBD2 scanner so I expected $8.99 $. I was willing to take the risk. The scanner arrived, I downloaded the free OBD Car Doctor from the Revain App Store, plugged in the scanner and paired it with my Galaxy Tab 4. I tried it on my 2013 Volvo station wagon, my wife's 2006 Volvo SUV and the 2004 My son's Volvo from . railway wagons; worked fine for all 3. In my son's car, the Check Engine light came on intermittently on the dashboard, which I was able to decipher ("fuel mixture too lean at start") and clear. As another poster pointed out, avoid using the included CD as McAfee found two trojans on the CD. It's useless anyway. Perhaps quality control issues on such a cheap device can explain the poor reviews; for me it's child's play. Just buy it!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some little things
