Review on 3-Way Touch Sensor Dimmer Kit - Control Module & Sensor Replacement for Touch Lamps (150W) by Josh Zuvers

It works with my LED bulbs from HomeDepot

Pro: It works with my LED bulbs I bought from HomeDepot - no flicker. Cons: The darkest level is too dark. It's a big leap to go from the most boring level to the second level. The wires are shorter than the original touch sensor. Maybe a piece of double sided tape to attach the box to the inside of the lamp base. "Screw Nuts" should be larger to cover multiple lugs; They are too small and probably the cheapest kind! They can be used for 2 small wire gauges like 14 gauge while the original lamp wires are much larger to withstand higher wattage. This may very well be why the performance of this sensor is lower than the original. I had to use mine to make sure the exposed wires weren't exposed after screwing them together. Pay close attention to the wiring instructions and check the wiring again after the replacement, then everything is ok, I can't confirm durability because I haven't used it long enough. A note for those using incandescent bulbs, as far as I know most touch sensors are higher wattage than these. Therefore, when using the lamp at maximum power, measure the power of this and the original sensor.

  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
