This is a really stylish raincoat with lots of nice details and the material is very nice, soft thin material that feels really waterproof. but the seams are just stitched with no visible glue (it has a separate lining so it's hard to see) and certainly not welded. If you want your child to carry something with an umbrella or to/from the bus, that's fine. If you want your child to play in the rain all day long, this is not the coat for them. I returned it.
