The key to its success is the silver woven into it, which kills the bacteria that trap and hold the fabrics. Silver will NOT disinfect the surface you are cleaning, but it will disinfect the bacteria trapped in the cloth, reducing the need to wash the cloth as often. Great concept that works. It takes 24 hours to kill bacteria that have entered the tissue.
