Review on Revel Men's Running Shoes by Brooks by Jonathan Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

• Nearly perfect •

At 6'1" and 290 pounds, I'm the heaviest I've ever had. While I'm just getting back into healthier, better, and safer shape, over the past year or two I've been REALLY taking the time when shopping/browsing sneakers to look for the very best pairs for easier walking and knees/back. Pain, I had to read many, many reviews, read ALL the descriptions and specs, take notes and compare etc. I chose the size 12 black of these "Revels" from 6 different pairs of Brooks I had. Watch. With all the legwork I've put in, and of course a bit of luck, I made such a wise choice. I wear about 6 weeks, at least 5 days a week. For all day "on the walk" / jogging / on the golf course, etc. Honestly, I don't have any "cons" to write about. Like ALL running shoes in my 40+ years, they are a bit stiff and tight when they are "brand new" and when I first put them on (I have flat feet) I noticed a slight camber that you could feel in most new running shoes — after he had worn indoors for 2 days, it was completely sold out. So all you flat feet, don't worry. These shoes are breaking in properly and getting more comfortable by the day. Not days or weeks but in just a few days I was so excited I decided on this pair. The aesthetics are nice and the build quality is probably the best I've ever bought. Actually, this is my first pair of Brooks. In my adult life I've always worn mostly New Balance, occasionally ASICS and Saucony. I still think they're all great, but I look forward to staying with Brooks for the foreseeable future. Well, they're famous for quality, durability and comfort and my new confirmation of that fact isn't a problem. So, like me, if you've never owned a Brooks, I say: by all means, go for it. In addition, most purchases are refundable, in fact you have nothing to lose.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
