Suitable for gaming Headset

These headsets actually have a very good price-performance ratio. The bad reviews I've seen mostly complain about the lack of a splitter, and it's not Corsair's fault that the consumer can't figure out which model is specifically for the PC, and Revain gives this on every model clearly on. The headset itself looks a bit cheap, but this is also an entry-level device. If you take care of them, they will last a long time. The sound quality is actually pretty good, again for the price. It's not 7.1 surround sound, but unless you really need surround sound, you probably won't be using headphones to begin with. I used them while playing Modern Warfare and they sound great. I'm not sure even 7.1 headphones will make a difference. I find it handy to have a detachable mic as I usually only use it when I'm playing with friends. I try not to use it that often unless the team I'm playing with is receptive to teamwork and communication. The mic itself, I'm told, is decent enough. I think it really comes down to playing with the settings to fine tune the threshold and volume. Again, these are really good headphones for the price. The cable is long enough for a PC, dare I say too long. If you just trim out the excess and give yourself some slack, you'll be fine. I was hesitant to buy an entry level headset but after using it for a little over a month I can't justify buying the expensive ones. If I had bought a different or more expensive set it would have been the wireless model. Oh, and in terms of comfort, they start to feel good after a few hours. They are light enough not to put any pressure on your head. Overall a good set for the money. There are a few things to be desired hence the 4 star rating. But generally they cost $30.
