Review on Prepworks Progressive Collapsible Salad Spinner by Mark Repp

Does what it's supposed to do, but not easily

I like it, but I don't like it. I paid more for this than a clumsy spinner because I really wanted to make it smaller and put it away. It folds to about the width of a typical college textbook, making it easy to store but a little tricky to fold and unfold. In my experience I've unfolded it when buying new salads, but then left it expanded until I'd eaten the entire salad - about 3 or 4 turns before washing and finally putting back in the cupboard. Meanwhile, when waiting in the waiting position, it took up quite a bit of space. Not liking the opening and closing, this allows it to open fully for about a week at a time just so I don't have to take it out and put it back together, hence my conclusion for personal use of the product that it's something of a foldable spinner . Aside from the effort to expand it, I find the spinner good for getting a dry salad, it's quite difficult to spin without another hand as it keeps the bowl stationary. The bowl is easy to clean inside and out, but there are a lot of "guards” at the top that do not allow you to just quickly wipe it with a rag. Overall, I'm not looking forward to using it, but I'd rather have it than without the spinner, and I'd recommend it if you don't like wasted closet space (especially in the lettuce-free season).
