Review on 🚗 Enhanced 2021 Android Car Stereo for BMW 3 Series - Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Split Screen - Eonon GA9465B 9 Inch Upgrade by Doug Small

I bought this radio for my BMW E90 as I wanted to make my car look more modern and have Bluetooth streaming, GPS etc. I installed this with A0581 decoder since my car has logic 7. I've had it for about 3 weeks and I'm satisfied with the functions of this car radio. Android Auto worked great (had to buy a dongle to use Android Auto on this main unit). Bluetooth streaming and calls also worked great. This device is very responsive and fast, which I also liked. However, when it comes to sound quality, this head unit just doesn't do it. Even with the onboard DSP, it didn't sound as good as the stock head unit, no matter how fine-tuned the DSP settings were. The FM radio sounded like rubbish, there was no bass at all. Speaking of FM radio, the reception isn't that great. I still get some stations but it's a bit worse than stock. There is no GPS on this device as Google Maps is installed and will not work if you do not have an internet connection. WIFI reception is poor unless I park my car next to the building for the strongest WIFI signal or use my phone as a hotspot. Also, this unit does not support SiriusXM, although you can download the SiriusXM app for the head unit and use your phone's hotspot to use it, or use the SiriusXM app on Android Auto/Apple Carplay. Let's get back to the sound quality of the head unit. I don't know if it was the fiber optic decoder I used with this head unit or the head unit itself as I feel like the front speakers get all the sound and bass while the rear speakers remain quiet. Since my BMW E90 has Logic 7, I feel like all the speakers need to have sound and bass for the surround effect, just like the stock head unit. Alpine etc, get a Dynavin head unit which is much better quality or just go back to the original head unit for better sound. Fiber optic decoder, maybe this is the main unit for you. If your BMW E90 has Logic 7 I would look elsewhere. I am giving this unit 3 stars because I feel the head unit has a lot of potential as it is the newest head unit of 2020 but it still lacks in software and sound performance. Update: I used the Bluetooth streaming feature and fine-tuned the DSP settings and I got it the way I wanted it. I think it depends on what app you use on the main device. Android Auto/Apple Carplay is the best choice for head unit sound quality.
