Good 1/2 " barbs - my new review

These are definitely a cut above the last ones I got. The threads are clean and even and fit the female connectors snugly. The barbs hold a hose even under a bit of pressure. The steel is solid, heavy, and free from any serious imperfections. It's almost a pity that my applications are all low-pressure coolant and laboratory gas.

One of my main issues is how loose the 5/8 hose is. I bought brand new hose its not stretched or anything and for some reason I can insert the barbed fitting into the hose and pull it out without applying any force. The barbs are not the correct size for a 5/8 hose.
