I've always bought these bags and the magnet was great. I had to work hard to open the bag, which is what I wanted. But this one was unsuccessful. The magnet stinks. Do not close. I will not be returning it as I can still use it. I use it for earthworks with horses. But for riding I have another bag with a zipper. Previously when I had a Doggone Good bag with a good magnet I went with it and everything was fine. But this particular new bag I bought opens and stays. open. Too bad, I think there must be something other than the magnet. Can I make a version for riders? One with a button that can snap? That would be great. Recommended? For training dogs and horses and other animals? YES. Recommended for horseback riding? no (But maybe you'll get lucky and get one that has a good magnet?)
