I bought 2 of these devices and it took about a year before they had to be replaced. Most of the time the corners start cracking and fall off after a few months and then I pull the replacement, after a year 3 corners are cracked and the case is only marginally holding up. Still, I'm giving it 4 stars because what it lacks in durability and strength it makes up for in being lightweight and unobtrusive. The screen surface is protected, the auto on/off magnet works great and the lid folds down making it easy to hold in your hand and place on your desk/counter for reading etc. Just replace it regularly, or buy two to have a spare backup in case it inevitably falls apart - because you're spending a lot more for a bulky, heavy case that'll last, but compromise the Mini's form and function.
