Review on Under sink filter Atoll A-550m STD 1/2" white by Adam Nikodem ᠌

A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

The water quality in our area is terrible. If you pour water into the kettle directly from the tap, after one boil, the walls and the disk were covered with a white coating, and white flakes floated on the surface of the water, which then settled to the bottom of the kettle. Assuming that a simple filter system could not cope with our water, we decided to take reverse osmosis. According to reviews, the weakest point of all filtration systems is the tightness of the connections, and, as a result, the main headache is water leakage. In this regard, the Atolls complained least of all, therefore, they chose it. 1. Assembly. In fact, it doesn’t exist, the system is completely assembled, you just need to place 2 filters in the flasks without confusing them, and one of them also has a top with a bottom, and also install a membrane. 2. Connection. Takes less than an hour if all the tools are at hand. I was pleased that the kit includes both a fumlent and a small tube with silicone grease (it is needed when installing the membrane). The kit includes a set of accessories for various options for connecting to the faucet. I have a combined faucet immediately with a tap for drinking water, which was installed earlier, so only a flexible hose with a 1/2 internal thread hung under the sink. And just such an adapter was not included in the kit, it's good that it came with the mixer. I think, for solidity, it would be possible to provide for it. 3. Washing. Strictly according to the instructions, it is necessary to do it, but it’s better not to even drain two tanks, but three, because the water on the third tank was not tasty, we were even a little disappointed. But, after draining the third tank, the water became very good quality. 4. Operation. Works for about 2 weeks, during which time not a single drop of water has leaked through any of the threaded connections of the flasks, or the quick coupling of the tubes, which was the most worried about. The teapot is perfectly transparent. The taste of water corresponds to bottled inexpensive brands. The only thing, now I understand that there is not enough cooling, but this question is no longer for this filter!

Pros
  • 1. The quality of water treatment. 2. Easy to assemble and connect. 3. While reliability.
Cons
  • The storage tank is too big, took up a lot of space under the sink. It would be nice if the manufacturer supplied the same system in two or three tank options. I think most consumers would be more comfortable with an 8-liter tank.
