I own and run a reputable CB shop, must read the reputable review below.

This radio is junk. I thought it would be a great alternative to the comparable Cobra model. The CMX560 radio was much better. However, this CMX760 is not a good radio receiver. This radio seems to have many faults. Uniden does not help with repairs. I remember when Uniden was the best in terms of both quality and service. This is no longer the case. I like the radio quality. There are many screws that hold the intestines together. The design looks well thought out. The quality is decent. A few things like the mic switch should be upgraded and less cheap in my opinion. This radio looks like suffers from both CPU issues and radio freeze issues in transmit mode which causes the radio to overheat and emits the finale, as well as clipping of reception as it freezes in transmit mode. Uniden does not provide any support or schemas. You only have to hand in the radio for warranty repairs. As far as an all-in-one mic radio goes, I think your best bet at this point is probably to buy a Midland 75-822 and a Workman DM-100 lavalier mic. If this doesn't suit you, try finding Anytone Apollo II. Anytone Apollo I suffers from problems. You only have to hand in the radio for warranty repairs.
