Great camera and great price

I bought two of these for the new CarPlay radio I installed in my car to replace the old one so I could use it with my iPhone can use. When buying anything I did, I wanted to see quality cameras on the front and back of the display. The price of some of them is not cheap at all, so I went with them for now. I installed stereos and alarms when I was younger so it was pretty easy for me to fit all of this into a car, I've probably done it thousands of times. With these license plate cameras, I was really overwhelmed by the good image quality. Honestly amazed at how good they are for the price. They've been working for about a month now and I have to say they're working great. My only hope is that they have a chrome finish, they were chromed well when made and they are not starting to chip. I take care of my car by giving it 100% care, polishing and waxing. I'm going to polish them, of course, like my SUV's chrome bumper. If the chrome is really good and holds up that would be great, but if I didn't know how to paint cars and didn't have all the materials to spray with an air compressor. When the chrome comes off I just take them off and paint them to match the front and back of the car. Am I going to buy the expensive cameras I originally looked at? No, I won't, unless they accidentally fail and the image quality doesn't last long. I'll try to update as many months as possible after cold winters and snow to see how the chrome resists salt penetration as it salts the roads when it snows. Then, of course, how the image quality affects them in severe frost. But so far so good and very satisfied and time will tell how they hold up over the next few months and how they will be through winter and spring.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
