The jack plug on this cable is the same size as a jack socket. It is smaller by about 20#. Therefore, the landing is quite loose. With no post-purchase return requirement, I had to be resourceful. I made a thick ball of paper the width of an electrical outlet and plugged it in from the "spring" side of the cord. There are electrical contacts on the other side of the spring and the cable is clamped with some force and everything works. I hate doing top coats on the products I buy so I'll rate this*. A star for the poor.
