Pretty good, but not quite perfect. Still great value for money

I won this knife in a raffle and was asked to give my opinion. I touched several points that I was trying to depict. New handle design compared to the old one. The old single point design (shown here on a previously purchased Kuska knife) feels like it could have a stronger construction overall, but the feel of the wood is much more comfortable to work with. Personally for me both grips are a bit big with small hands but the new grip design allows me to reduce the shape of the grip a bit to make it more comfortable. The seat of the blade on the handle feels a little crooked, however, this does not affect performance in any way. The finish is smooth and acceptable. Finished cuts in a spoonful's bowl for dry cherries, I worked on came out clean. The knife came out of the box sharp, but I walked over it several times on the belt before attempting to cut anything. Haven't had a chance to try it on greenwood yet, but judging from handling dry cherries I think it will do. How did he appear. As for the packaging, there is nothing to worry about. It had some bandages in it and I thought it was nice. The blade itself was wrapped in soft foam sheeting that could not be reused. I really wish there was some sort of scabbard or reusable foam block included which I could keep on top of the blade for protection, but that's really not to be expected for the price. last thought? Nice knife, especially for the price. Yes, there are some things that could make it better, but it's difficult to build a universal instrument when each person's hands are different sizes. Shipping a blade molded in a block of rigid foam rubber rather than in the box it came in would be a good way to ensure some storage safety, but given that's one of the lowest starting points for hooked knives, it probably is only increasing the price of it. basic tool. who could do better but it is difficult to build a universal instrument when each person has different sized hands.
