Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 749-542 Front Driver Side Window Regulator for Ford/Lincoln Models: Unmatched Quality and Precision by John Bennett

The part went in easily and was an exact replacement as far as I can tell

Let's start by knowing a little bit about mechanics. I also once yanked open a door to understand why my window in my 2007 Ford Expedition chose to stay down. As they say, this article is perfect for this purpose. Ford has an issue with regulators not working properly, and a small amount of water gets into the cables on the transmission, causing them to rust and break. I had the last problem. I purchased this item from Amazon and installed it over the next weekend. The switch was easy and uncomplicated. There are many YouTube videos and websites that will guide you through this process. The part went in easily and was an exact replacement as far as I can see. The only mistake I made was not installing the door handle release cable properly. So, glee over glee, after checking the window, I locked the car and headed off for the weekend. On Monday morning I was driving to work and couldn't open the car door from the inside to get out. Luckily I fixed the window so I could lower it and open the car door from the outside. Fixed same day after work. The new driver's side window that I replaced goes down about twice as fast as the original passenger's side window. I think when the cool weather comes I will replace the other side as well. Great part.
