We use them in our fungus sanitizers. They work great if you use a low pressure water source and watch out for limescale build up. We built a water tank with a toilet tank fitting to keep the raised bucket full. The line from the bucket goes to the ball valve installed on the disinfectant. Works well with a bucket about six feet above the ball valve (each foot of height adds about 0.5 pounds of water pressure). Another problem is the accumulation of calcium. We had about 30 ball valve trips before losing a batch due to the valve not closing. We track consumption and change the lightbulb after about 20. We are considering installing a small water softener to extend the life of the valves and other components.
