Years ago I bought a door handle that was made for a door that opened in the opposite direction from the door. Rearranging the handles is not difficult with these handles, and you don't have to look for handles for the right or left door. I have two sets of pens. Both handles had to be replaced. I changed the first one without reading the instructions, and the second I couldn't remove from the handle and had to read the instructions. The door lock was in the wrong position. Unlocked it and the handle could be removed and rearranged. The set includes other nice installation options so it can be installed. A few years ago I had a contractor install some of these knobs and they look and work just as good as new.
