The display is very clear and bright and the received images from the front and rear cameras are excellent. I was disappointed that there's no way to display GPS coordinates on the screen (they're not stamped on the footage). The .MP4 files contain GPS data, but there is no good way to show the path or speed on a PC map. (If anyone knows of a compatible DVR/GPS map video viewer please let me know). There's also no "monitoring mode" of any kind (i.e. recording while parked), according to FYI. A significant issue I had was that the included USB cigarette lighter adapter that came with the dashcam got very (very!) hot after about ten minutes of use, causing the dashcam to keep restarting until it was unplugged and cooled. . When you buy this DVR, make sure to buy the right cable set too! Other cons: There's no real manufacturer support page (no website, period) and the included documentation is very limited. I'd like to make sure I have the latest firmware, but I have no idea what the latest version is or how to update the dash cam (although I'm pretty sure booting to an updated firmware installer for micro SD card is required). ).Would I buy it again? Mmm maybe.
