Review on ๐Ÿšช Carlson Flexi Configurable Walk Through Pet Gate - 76" Wide by Latoya Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big size, yes quality.

Update 2 years: As a result, this gate solved all our problems. Much to my surprise, it held up very well, and even the clasp, which I feared was cheap, didn't fail. Highly recommended! Like most people I bought this gate because we have a large opening that needed to be secured to allow our two cats and one aggressive/unpredictable dog to be separated. The height is great and none of them could (yet) jump or tried. The links in the gate allow you to change position, and the fixings are fairly securely attached to the wall. The assembly was relatively easy, although the screw holes are directly in front of the post and are therefore not accessible from the front. The instructions suggest using a screwdriver to install the fasteners, but I don't know how you would do it if you could find the bolt. We used a drill and still had some issues due to the angle. I have read from other reviewers that the small pet door on this gate is big enough for medium sized dogs to fit through. This has also come true for us. Our 50-pound Pitbull mix can actually get through that door, although it initially seemed like her rib cage would get in the way. Looks like we'll have to come up with a creative solution to make it easy for cats to get through but dogs not. Since we realized that the dog could come in, the cat door stays closed. Finally, I agree with other reviewers who have said that the gate latch is cheaply made and seems to be the first thing to break on this gate. . There is nothing special about these goals other than the size of them but as usual I got what I paid for.

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
