The small pet door can be removed!

I really like this goal! I bought 3 and will probably get another one. The only problem is that the small pet door is too big for small dogs to go through. I removed it with tweezers and needle nose pliers and attached the cat door instead. All you have to do is hold the pin with the pliers, slowly move the pin down with the tweezers, hold it with the pliers and keep moving the tweezers down until it falls far enough for the door to pop out.

Sturdy but cat door too big

I've had this gate for a few months now and love it. I have an odd shaped hole and I love how flexible it is so I can adjust it to size. It's durable as long as you screw it into the stud. It opens and closes easily (my 2.5 year old grandson can do it with no problem). My only complaint is that the cat door is too big! I have 2 Yorkies and 1 Silky that weigh between 8 and 12 pounds each. All fit easily in a cat flap. But I also have 2 Standard Poodles, one of which is 7 months old and weighs…

NEEDED TO FIND SOMETHING MY DOG COULD NOT OPEN

I have a large beagle and he figured out all the gates I bought. This one bolts to the wall and the latch on the catwalk is different. I hope he can't find out. although, as I jokingly told my son, I know he saw where I put the power driver. He lies and pretends not to try, instead going around the corner and grabbing him with his paw, wrapping himself around him, shaking and pulling. I peeked around the corner and caught him. If I go in, he'll lie down and pretend he's innocent. When he runs…

It's easy to connect two!

I bought this because I needed a baby gate that would allow my older cat access to the upstairs bedrooms while also preventing my 10 month old from climbing the stairs. I keep a close eye on my child. When it approaches it, I just close the cat door and keep it closed until it moves on to the next item. My top floor is right next to my basement stairs, so I needed an adjustable gate. It did fit, but with the 79" bore I decided to buy two hoping I could put them together. I checked the Q&A…

Great for our purpose!

We bought this gate system to keep our pup in the paddock on the patio. It also helps to keep the toddler grandson engaged lol! So far it's been perfect. I give four stars for durability. As you can see in the attached photo, my clever husband screwed blocks of wood into the frame of our gazebo and then attached a gate system to the blocks. It's strong, but will most likely attach more strongly to real door frames. We don't let our grandchildren "hang" on it or shake it back and forth. I've…

Withstands a lot of abuse! 4 year update!

This is a fantastic goal. We have a very wide aisle between the living room and the kitchen and we didn't know how to divide it for children and dogs. We didn't want to screw it to the door frame as we knew it would likely be pulled, bumped, hit and pushed. It has taken a lot of wear and tear over the past six months including a 2 year old, 2 beagle dogs and several adults who have walked through it many, many times each day. Holds up great. (My dogs are a bit too big to fit through this small…

Big size, yes quality.

Update 2 years: As a result, this gate solved all our problems. Much to my surprise, it held up very well, and even the clasp, which I feared was cheap, didn't fail. Highly recommended! Like most people I bought this gate because we have a large opening that needed to be secured to allow our two cats and one aggressive/unpredictable dog to be separated. The height is great and none of them could (yet) jump or tried. The links in the gate allow you to change position, and the fixings are fairly…

The devil is in the details. Photos and videos are included.

This gate definitely gets 5 stars for the idea but 3 stars for the execution. Here's what I know at the moment. First, the pivots are plastic. Having previously had a large, strong chewer, I could see how this can be a problem if they are interested in chewing on those joints or spend a lot of time constantly pressing/jumping on those gates, especially when the ends are attached to the wall. Second. , this gate is actually pretty loud. I have a different metal access door with a different…
