I was having trouble with a clogged pan and a broken drain plug that I can't reach without this tool. I was concerned that it might be too weak for this purpose, but I found it very useful for other things, so I bought it. It was shipped very quickly and I received it within a day. To my surprise, the grip on this thing was substantial. It slips off what it's clinging to fairly easily and I haven't tried to force it, but once you get a good grip in a good spot that's good for it to hook onto, it's strong and holds up very well. I have this broken drain plug in my tub and it doesn't move at all, plus it's flexible enough that I can tie it together and attach it to the pipe. It has not come loose or slipped even with intensive use. a plunger on the tub drain that wobbles the stem of the drain plug. I'm pleasantly surprised. The handle is made of thin strips of metal so you have to be careful with it, but it holds securely and won't let go if gripped well. I tested it on my fingers and could not have pulled them out without injuring myself or even cutting myself if I tried. Great tool for your money. I might get another one just to have.
