Review on 🌶️ Peugeot Oleron Chili Mill, 5.5-Inch, Natural - Enhancing SEO by Amber Leigh

My wife and I love this pepper grinder. That doesn't mean he's perfect. First the good news. It looks better live than on Revain's product page. It has good proportions: not too big and not too small. Fits comfortably in the hand (shape and weight). A lifetime warranty on the mechanism is good (but I wonder if anyone will ever offer a manufacturer's warranty). The acrylic looks fresh, as does the stained beech worktop. Not very good now. I'm not sure a plastic pepper mill is worth $30 no matter how good the acrylic is (for the price I'd prefer glass). It will be interesting to see how the acrylic holds up in the wash. My wife didn't like that the screws (that attach the sanding base to the acrylic) were visible in the acrylic; I liked it. I can't stand the ball on top (which controls the grinder). It looks childish, weird and terribly out of place. A flat, puck-like retainer would be a much better aesthetic choice (IMHO). I found the hoity-toity product label charming. I didn't know that Peugeot is known for its culinary delights; I thought the scope of the company was largely related to the automotive and bicycle industries. Who knew!? But I suspect the label serves an additional purpose and helps a potential buyer understand why a $15-20 pepper grinder is $30. Given the choice between a Peugeot sticker and a $10-$15 less charge, I'm sure 100 times out of 100 I would choose the lower price. After all, this is a very good pepper mill saddled with an expensive sticker. . 3 stars from me, 4 stars from my wife; hence 3.5 stars. We both agree this would be a 4+ star product if it cost a little less.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Too long to wait
