Soap Coffee on Dish Soap

I actually like the smell, but the soap doesn't wash off well. I recently hand washed a coffee mug with this soap, rinsed thoroughly under hot running water and filled with coffee. Tastes like soap! I poured the coffee out, rinsed it out, poured the coffee back in and it STILL tasted like soap! Thinking that the smell of soap might affect my sense of taste, I filled a dishwasher-washed mug, stood by the soap bottle, and sipped my coffee. Everything was good. . I will continue to use hand soap but not dish soap.
