Review on ParkPower Marinco 25SPP RV Locking Powercord by Giovanni Glenn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great cable but misaligned.

I only gave it four stars for one reason: It's a great cable, especially for the Marinco Easy Lock connector. If your "L" shaped pin is in the 7 o'clock position as in the attached images, the handle will not be pointing down, but it can be locked. Face down, which kinda defeats the purpose. It was about 45 degrees. Marinco was contacted and was told that the inlet can be rotated by removing it and then removing the three screws holding the male electrical part to the cover, rotating it and replacing the screws. After removing the inlet the three screws can be turned but there were no holes in the cover to put the screws back in the new position. I contacted Marinco to find out why this happened. No reply yet as it was Saturday. Maybe the 301 EL pickup I had was an older version? Since everything was taken apart, here's what I did. With the original screws fitted, I drew a circle around the electrical part on the cover so I knew the exact location. I guess I was lucky because when turning it into place, a screw was aligned. I tightened this screw so that the electrical part was in the center of the circle I drew. Then I marked two more holes. I checked the depth of the existing holes and settled on a 1/6" bit and very carefully drilled two new holes making sure the bit was perpendicular to the lid. After drilling, I reattached the male electrical part to these new holes. and returned the air intake to my RV. It worked great but took a while.
