I bought this product for environmental reasons and I agree. Anything I can do to keep plastic waste out of our oceans and landfills, I try to do. Yarn is not naturally as strong as regular yarn, so it can be composted. I contacted the company as it seemed to me that it rubs easily. The owner is a woman and I love supporting a women run business, but beyond that she contacted me directly, sent me two supplements to make sure there was no problem with that load of floss and gave some tips too , as to avoid tearing (move the thread to different places frequently to avoid overstressing in one place). I use a different thread now (sometimes I pull it out instead of pulling it out the way it goes in) and although I use more thread it's worth helping the planet!
