Works well and keeps my phone surprisingly stable. I mainly use it for the Droid Maxx in a cheap TPU case with one of the metal plates inside. It handles most bumps well and all but the worst potholes if the rings on the back of the mount are tight. It was also pretty easy to customize to my specific needs. My dashboard is mostly leather, but I had a nice plastic mount that was just a tad too small to attach with the adhesive mount. A few minutes of work on the mount with a Dremel and a utility knife solved that problem, and now it fits perfectly. I'm subtracting a star for the non-standard angle of the mounting rack. My dash is fairly vertical so I had to use a different mount (sold separately) with a straight post. *** UPDATE *** After almost 18 months this mount has fallen apart. The rubber around the edges gradually peeled off, so my phone just turned in place. I tried tightening the screw on the back but it no longer holds my phone upright. Replaced by a similar rectangular product; Even if the edges are erased, the rectangles can't rotate!
