Our fair-skinned son wore it to the amusement park during the day to protect him from the sun on a day when temperatures exceeded 30°*. We were there from 10am to 6pm, he never once complained that he was hot or that he was the only one in our group wearing long sleeves. This worked great to avoid sunburn.
