favorite mug! for eating and serving utensils

I was looking for a 2 liter glass jug for my ice cream Tea for over a year. The only one I could find was from Anchor Hocking, which you can see in the photo next to my stone stein. The Anchor Hocking jug is ok but difficult to clean, tea stains on the white rubber lid, not as easy to hold and pour as a mason's jug, and every time I pour myself a drink the tea drips into the spout as soon as I stop pour, so I have to wipe it down every time before I put it away. A clay jug is all I was looking for! Not only is it a cute jug shaped like a glass, it doesn't take up too much space, it pours easily and doesn't drip, it has a handle to make pouring easier, the cap on the lid doesn't close you when pouring , and it is easier to clean. I don't see any tea stains on the lid, but that doesn't bother me too much as the lid is a nice dark gray colour. I want another one of these jugs to replace my Anchor Hocking (I have 2 jugs in rotation in my fridge)! I definitely recommend this wonderful jug!

Pros
  • Easy Pour: flip-top lids stay open and don't get in the way when pouring into cups or drinking from the spout and stay securely attached
Cons
  • Very expensive
