I shot it with my D600, and it looks amazing across the board and in all but the telephoto range. Best value for the money, I typically shoot at 18mm and 35mm f5.6 - f8, making it ideal for travel. 1) 18-35 D is an expensive range for a technologically dated soap. 2) 16-35/4 G - the angles are slightly worse from 16mm to 28mm! Better, weather-proof, and VR (virtual reality), but double the price? Thirdly, the Tokina 17-35/4 (chromite 17-35/2.8D) is roughly 2.5 times more expensive and produces inferior images to the 16-35/4/1.4. It's not there, and I prefer the close tolerances of the focus distance ring. Excellent clarity and vividness. Plastic for the housing is fine. Kr/p/naGdS4 In contrast to 16-35G
