Just like mom used to!

I wanted to find an alternative to sponges which - no secret here - can and do get quite uncomfortable and we always seem to wonder why they smell and yet we can't remember when we last changed them Time! Guilty. I was hoping to find a cloth washcloth that I could use to wash dishes and wipe kitchen countertops after cooking like my mom, grandmother, and aunts used to do. These fit the bill perfectly! They're the perfect size and the plump texture works well for picking up leftover food on the dishes. The only adjustment is that the fabric doesn't seem to hold soapy water, which really just makes us think we're actually washing, but the soap in the water still gets the job done. If you can pass it, they're doing a great job. I've been using the same one for a week now - don't scold me - because I "mine" it every time I use it. I wash and rinse it well after each use and wring it well and it never had the slightest musty smell like a sponge. I haven't noticed any significant shrinkage in the process and can't imagine it's much different after a washer/dryer. They seem to be holding up very well and an 8 pack should last a long time. Beautiful fun colors add a nice splash of fun to a pointless routine. I'm considering ordering another pack just because all the good stuff seems to be being replaced with bad quality stuff and I don't want to start over. They really are the same as my mother's. It's nice to remember.
