I liked the texture of the handle which gave me a good grip on the tool. The cutter blade is shaped to match the curvature of the corn cob and once started it cut through the corn kernels very easily. So light that I had to release the pressure on the blade touching the corn kernels. I found that a light touch works best. I removed corn kernels from 16 ears in about 10 minutes. The resulting mess wasn't a mess at all, my hand got wet from the starchy liquid and all I had to do was wipe up the small bits of corn that had been thrown outside of the bowl I was using. I am very happy with the performance of the tool and I particularly liked the plastic blade cover, it protects the blade from breaking when I'm in my grocery tool box and keeps the blade from cutting my fingers. So far I have no cons to talk about the tool.
