Replaced our landline - savings of $20 per month

We've been using our landline for years to use a spam phone so that all unnecessary offers, scams and robocalls go straight to the answering machine. However, the landline costs were too high. With this box I was able to convert my old iPhone 5s into our new landline phone. So far it works great. We were able to add this line (unlimited calls only, no data) to an iPhone 5s for about $10/month, so the net savings are about $20/month. So xlink should pay for itself within 4 months (including the cost of the iPhone SIM card). I would like to point out that in our situation we just leave the phone right next to the xlink box so we don't have to worry about pairing and unpairing every time we leave the house. Old phones still work and it goes through caller ID so if we recognize the caller we can answer the call. We were also able to adjust the ring length of the answering machine as well as the voicemail on the phone so that the answering machine answered unanswered calls. Pairing the xlink was easy the first time - just make sure you're not connected to an outside line, then press and hold one of the blue buttons until it starts flashing, and finally go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and enter the pairing code. Since we don't move the phone often, I can't comment on how well it reconnects when we get home. In addition, our iPhone is always only a few centimeters away from the hlink - there are no problems with the signal yet.
