Buyer Warning. Check the fuel pressure after installing this kit.

I installed this blue spring kit to save money over Ford parts. I figured there was just no point in spending $70 at the retailer in the spring when there's $30 on Amazon with so many great reviews. After installing this product, I have driven my truck for hundreds of kilometers and have noticed a reduction in fuel consumption. I checked the fuel pressure at the bottom of the filter with a hand gauge and it was 80psi at idle. According to Ford, this is the fuel pump's maximum output when it's not running. I removed the spring and it was bent because it was compressed so much it was actually bent in the body. This blocked the terrain, preventing it from moving and making the most of my pump. I'm sure not everyone has had this problem, but I'm also sure that most people don't necessarily take their blood pressure a second time, even when the economy slows down, thinking it might be because the pressure something has increased. Just to clarify, this is a spring update. If working properly, it should improve fuel economy significantly. If the fuel consumption has decreased, check the pressure again. With the correct blue spring it should be around 60psi. I bought the kit from my local Ford dealership for $68 with taxes. When I compared the two blue springs, the Ford spring was almost four coils shorter and the diameter of the spring wire itself was much thicker for the cheap spring. Save yourself the headache by purchasing a Ford kit. My spring blue upgrade cost me almost $100 when I only had $68 to spend at the dealer. Engine repairs are very expensive, don't buy cheap parts. It's never worth it in the long run.
