Bought this lantern for clearing snow. The magnets are strong enough to keep it on the roof if you don't want to set a speed record. They also stick it out about an inch or so, which works better for better visibility on longer roofs or taller trucks. There are many models to choose from and I found a few that I liked. It remembers the template you've chosen, so once you've chosen a template, you can technically hard-wire it. I think I'm going to connect a cigarette lighter plug powered by 4 pins. That way the light bar will be on when I'm driving 4 ways and I won't forget to turn it off when I get out of the truck. This light is not very bright in direct sunlight, but it is still noticeable. At night it lights up very well without blinding the eyes and that suits me. Normal price seems good. I bought it on Black Friday for about $30.
