I have two parrots and they just wouldn't drink the water no matter what I tried. I found this bottle online and had my doubts (given the average reviews) but decided to give it a try. The girl (she is a researcher) figured out how to use it in a week - the boy needed a few more days, but now they both drink water, I see them early in the morning, and during the day I see the water level in the bottle drops. I watch it and set it up so I can see air bubbles rising as the birds drink. As long as the bubbles are rising, I know the water is coming out. I've had this 8 ounce bottle for four months now and it has never failed, never got stuck or leaked on its own. It's easy to clean/refill and the spring that attaches it to the cage is the perfect size, never had a problem with it. My birds have no problem sharing a bottle. If something happens to this one I will order the same one and hope I get lucky.
