Disclaimer: Haven't used it yet. I promise to update this review once I have hands-on experience. However, having worked a lot with hydraulic brakes, I always wanted to get this tool. A knife that cuts straight (as opposed to a traditional pliers cutter that twists the body as it cuts) is key to a good seal in the master cylinder (brake lever). In the past I've used a SRAM desktop cutter, which is great but awkward to use when you're getting the job done (e.g. on a handlebar). Again, I have yet to use it, but I still have marks on my palm from my last splint insertion a few weeks ago. It depends on the brand, but getting these things flush with the case can be very difficult. I'm really looking forward to using this thing.
