I thought my printer was dead and its only purpose was for scanning. I used Big Box's printer ink refill service (c*stc*). I read so many reviews that HP printers had no trouble detecting and using full carts. But I? nope To your credit, my printer read and recognized the color but failed to register black. Received these cartridges and they were recognized. I tried black first to see if a refilled color carriage would print. The HP tool recognized the black color immediately. full ink! I tried to print a test page with a full color carriage and this black carriage. That does not work. I only have black ink. Even though the big box was reported full, it didn't print at all. At least now I know black is working. I removed the broken big wagon with the filled color box and put this color wagon in place. The HP tool started. Nothing. I didn't take the cart, the ink level isn't shown, nothing. I took out the color carriage and, using the eraser that came with it, rubbed and rubbed the contacts of the chips. Then I wiped the remaining ink off the head. Paste back and BOOM! The HP tool recognized and read the shopping cart information. Cart full! last test. I printed a few test pages. They came out perfect. You have ABSOLUTELY worked for me. They should work for you too. Now, instead of contributing to consumer e-waste, I can keep this printer and just keep buying these carts. Another great option is a prepaid baggy envelope to send them your old cartridges. If they can fix my broken carts and keep waste to a minimum, I'm all for it. would recommend.
