These are great low profile speakers for your PC, laptop or other device. I'm an editor and listen to classical music most of the day, but I'll switch to hip-hop or jazz or jazz or old rock 'n' roll, and while the bass isn't quite up to par, it gets concerned. I have my beats for great bass when I need them. However, they have a full midrange and rich sound. Note: the quick start guide says you should turn off the device when not in use, but this isn't possible on a PC unless you want to reach back to turn off the device; otherwise, the speakers will continue to draw power until you disconnect the USB and audio-out cables. The blue light at night keeps me from tripping over the cat.
