Excellent quality bookshelf speakers

This is the second Fluance speaker set I have owned. The last pair were passive speakers and their quality was also excellent. I was looking for a pair of active speakers with multiple inputs and they fit my needs perfectly. I didn't use the USB input, but the Bluetooth, optical and RCA inputs work great. I'm glad they include BT5.0. I'm not used to the onboard DSP, but as far as I can tell, DSP improves the speakers. The DSP filters out almost all bass when you connect a subwoofer. Somewhere around 110Hz. Also, the subwoofer only broadcasts 110Hz and below. Definitely a plus. They sound great even when the subwoofer is not connected. Just don't expect them to add more bass if you have a subwoofer that lacks power. Big rooms need big subwoofers. cannot be compared to these Fluance bookshelf speakers. You won't believe how awful this all sounds with regular speakers, soundbars, and built-in TV speakers. If you like good sound, whether it's movies or music, buy Fluance. Either passively or buy a subwoofer right away. You'll be amazed at how much better the sound sounds when you let the subwoofer handle the low frequencies, the midrange handle the midrange, and the tweeter handle the highs.***
